Friendship and Mosaic is a Word and Spirit Church

It has been three years since Friendship Fellowship opened it’s doors to people with Intellectual Disabilities in Colorado by inviting day program in Denver to Washington Park Church in Denver. Today that fellowship is still going and run by the staff at Ancient Paths Church a house church network. In Colorado Springs it was announced that the day program at Mosaic at Garden of the Gods Road and Elkton will become a church that reaches out and is an official Word and Spirit church plant lead by Pastor Rich Beattie. “We are working on a unit called Faith Express which works on both inward and outward expression of faith at the church. our goal is to open up the church to families, caregivers and counselors at Mosaic. This would include being a chaplain to the families and those who work as counselors and aids at the agency.” The Executive Director at Mosaic says “our goal is to get churches involved in the lives of our clients and to invite people in the neighborhood to be part of the work.”  Everyone must go through security clearance and an orientation to participate in the work of this alliance and association. David Bolin the executive Director at Mosaic also announced that Mosaic as an agency turned 100 today! “We are a Christian organization and having a church inside our walls is totally appropriate,” the longtime advocate for people with special needs explained.

Biblical-Systematic-Evangelical Outreach

The process is in preparation to encounter the Risen Christ for anyone is to reach a basic understanding of God’s plan to give us a hope and a future, that leads to anointing which leads to blessing, and then transforms into an outward sign of being set-apart in Christ by accepting water Baptism. This also leads to real peace and as we turn the page at Friendship Fellowship we will be sharing the Grace and Peace Blessing as found in the Old Testament in the Book of Numbers. The lord instructs Moses brother Aaron to bless his people in this way:

“The Lord Bless you- the Lord make His face shine upon you and be gracious to you.

The Lord turns His face toward you and gives you peace.” Numbers 26

Think about this- God wants to give you a peace that is indescribable. It doesn’t mean that you won’t feel anxious and worry sometime- but I have good news for you. God gives us friends and fellowship to alleviate chaos and anxiety.  We are a fellowship of friends that together form a community! That is the message that God wants to communicate to you and me today. So I will be blessing each one with a song and a prayer:

May the Lord bless you and keep you
And may His grace shine upon you
May the Lord bless you and keep you
And give you peace
Grace and Peace, Grace and Peace
May the Lord give you peaceGrace and Peace, Grace and Peace
Always, AlwaysMay the Lord bless you and keep you
And may His grace shine upon you
May the Lord bless you and keep you
And give you peace

So when we sing that our hope is in you (Trinity)

So when we sing that hope, peace, love and joy flow like a river.

So when we ask for Christ to GRANT US PEACE

He answers and flows peace to us as a community and as a fellowship.

The system of anointing to blessing and baptism

It starts with the anointing of the priests with the oil in Leviticus. Their message was God’s plan for you and me to give us a hope and a future!

It flows out to the spoken blessing of the Father- that you seek His face and He will bless you and you are a reflection of His face to the community and Fellowship.

And that leads us to our own blend of being correctable, of accepting a challenge to follow Jesus Christ and to make a change.
